Save up to 47% on a new Mercian with Cyclescheme

The process is simple, government-approved and flexible enough for you to choose repayment options which suit you.  Depending on your salary level, you can save up to 47% (and a minimum of 25%) on the cost of a Mercian.

How does it work?

Mercian has partnered with Cyclescheme to enable UK tax payers to participate in the Cycle 2 Work scheme. Cyclescheme acts as an employee benefit, in the form of a salary sacrifice.

This means that you agree to give up part of your salary in exchange for a benefit – in this instance the benefit is a bike and accessories. The salary sacrifice is taken from your gross salary (before tax) which means that you will pay less Income Tax and National insurance.

What Can I get?

You can use the Cyclescheme to buy a Mercian frame, a complete bike, one of our new e-bikes, components (group sets, tyres, wheels etc), mudguards, other Mercian accessories.

You cannot use the Cyclescheme for items such as:  GPS ride trackers and navigation devices, bike racks for cars, cameras, gift cards etc.

How to order

The process is simple

Browse our site and choose the frame, complete bike, or e-bike you like. Play around with our configurator to build up a colour scheme that takes your fancy.

Contact us (info@merciancycles.com or call us on 01332 752468) to discuss your requirements. We will provide you with a quote for your order.

Complete your application on www.cyclescheme.co.uk – your employer will need to be registered with Cyclescheme (or you can invite them to register).

Come back to us once you have approval. We will then take your key measurements (www.merciancycles.co.uk/bike-measurements) and begin the build of your bespoke hand-made Mercian.

Please note - We also ask for a £300 deposit when you place the order – when we hand over the bike to you we will then also hand you back the £300 deposit. If you cancel the order within two weeks of deposit payment, then we will refund it, any cancellation after this period will result in a loss of the deposit.
