Hi Mercian,
This is a refurbished Revell Romany you made in about 1983, it has the Weinmann 605 series side-pull brakes not the cantilever arrangement you put on later bikes. I have a 1984 Romany brochure and that showed the cantilever brakes.
The serial number of this cycle is PR840121. I read somewhere, probably on the internet, that the first 2 letters were the initials of the guy who made it? - could that be right, if so can Geoff remember who PR is/was?.
I've seen other Revell frame numbers and they have the 6 numbers but different initials.
