We doff a very large cycling cap to Greg James, who finished his 8-day pan-UK challenge in Edinburgh on Friday raising over £4.5mln.  What an incredible amount!

Luckily for us Greg called in for lunch on day 4, turning our humble workshop into a magical place for a few hours.  Plenty of local support turned up to bring noise and fun to the occasion, along with a couple of popular dignitaries:  shout out to Baggy Shanker, MP for Derby South, and Harry Atkinson, Mayor of Erewash – two cracking gents.

And talking of great people, it was wonderful to see Prince William sat on the bike with Greg in the middle of Yorkshire. Fair play your highness, the boost it provided to Greg's fundraising will have been huge.

Many thanks to the crew from the BBC and Comic Relief who turned our little corner of Little Eaton into a special place, with great support from wonderful locals on their bikes, on foot, babies and dogs in tow.  The buzz was tangible.  Most of all thankyou to Greg, for being such a humble, uber friendly, enthusiastic and approachable chap.  So generous and genuine with his time for the people of Little Eaton and Derby, despite having spent four days in a saddle with another four to look forward to!  Much has been said of Greg, so we will keep it short: he is a very sound bloke!

Congrats again to Greg on an heroic achievement. Over £4.5mln - Comic Reliefs highest ever fund raise for a challenge! We hope to see Greg again soon and we are proud to have played a part in his journey.

Thanks finally to Dean Jackson at Huub, Reynolds Technology, Madison Cycles, Shimano and Hopetech for providing kit, tubing and components, and Will for his super photography (@naturalist.jpeg).
