20 year old Mercian 'classic' rebuild. Original frame and paint job, mudguards and rims. Rebuilt with contemporary components for touring.
Equipped with a Stronglight triple, Marchisio sprocket Cassette, Mavic MA50 CRD rims, Schmidt Son 28 dyno hub, Schmidt Edelux front light with internal wiring running to a Bush and Muller rear light. (I was really pleased to be able to use the original wiring to thread the Schmidt wire through the frame.) Recently mounted a Tout terrain USB charger on the handlebars.
Toured through Europe this summer and always take it on CTC and Audax rides as it's fantastically comfortable. It's a real pleasure to own and a joy to ride.
