Mercian 753 'Mondrian' track frame

This month Mark and Rob in the sprayshop took a new Reynolds 753 track frame and got creative with it.

Mark's inspiration for this unique frame came from the Dutch artist Mondrian and the geometric bold colours of his paintings. The one-off design has been painted with an airbrush using our usual Stove Enamel paints and each colour baked in the oven, before finishing and varnishing. The colours also complement the 1950's crest used as a seat crest and Enamelled head badge.

The bike is built with a front brake only, but we have stop guides on the top tube and a brake bridge for a rear brake for future use. It is for sale, it's a 54cm and we're working a price out on it as we speak... if you're interested in getting your mitts on this unique work of art then please email us at info@merciancycles.com. Or if you're in the area - Derby's best independent menswear retailer Canopy Menswear, Sadler Gate, Derby, DE1 3NF will have the bike on display for a time.
