Built for hard graft by our craftsmen in the heart of England (the former ‘Kingdom of Mercia’). This model is often also set up as an urban bike (see Urban bike category) due to its comfort and rather pretty heart-shape cut-outs in the lugs.

The Mercian King of Mercia
Designed for both day rides and serious touring, the King of Mercia frame geometry has been designed to give a relaxed and comfortable feel to the ride, ideal for long rides in the hills, an around-the-world tour, or spins to the local cafe. Built for hard graft by our craftsmen in the heart of England the (former ‘Kingdom of Mercia’).
A classic touring bike, with heart shaped cut outs in the lugs done by hand, this trusty steed has been in our stable since the early 1950’s. Seventy years of fine tuning means its one of our most popular and iconic models. A very comfortable geometry allows for long hours in the saddle.
Made with Reynolds 725 double butted steel tubing, the bike comes with disc brakes as standard (rim brakes are also an option). Available as frame-only or fully assembled: choose one of our three assembly packages – or we can help you build up the assembly to your own specification. This model is often also set up as an urban bike (see Urban bike category) due to its comfort and rather pretty heart-shape cut-outs.

Now you’ve chosen your frame, you just need to decide on your paint options: simply use our paint configurator to select your scheme and attach it to your order. Alternatively, select your paint scheme after you’ve paid your deposit.

Secure your build spot with a £1,200.00 deposit (we will then request an interim payment of 75% of the outstanding balance approx. 4 weeks later once your frame is built – see Terms & Conditions)

Once you’ve paid your deposit we’ll be in touch to take your measurements

The paint scheme you design is just a guide – we will confirm the scheme with you, and fine-tune it to your needs, before we start the frame build. Colours shown are for guidance only; due to screen settings, the shades may not be an exact match to the final paint colour.
